Max's Breeds:
This is Max and he’s eleven-years-old. We have been together for the last three. Max is the smartest dog I have ever owned. I never have to raise my voice to him or be aggressive in any way. Even in the case when he wanted to cross the street despite the oncoming and speeding traffic, I would say, “Wait” and he did.
He’s a great dog who is overly protective. He initially barked protectively when someone approached me or would start small talk. He couldn’t be around other dogs. In the last year and a half that I’ve been giving him Canna-Pet, he has calmed down a lot. When we’re on a walk and someone wants to talk to me, he lies down until I’m done. He now barks at other dogs because he wants to investigate, not protect.
Max still has a way to go since no one but me is allowed to touch him (including vets.) But I will take our wins where we find them.
